Programme accomplishment and Achievements 2005 – 2009
1. Secondary School at Jawade, Tal.Lanja,Dist.Ratnagiri
The sanstha has facilitated with education to the children in the villages Jawade,Rawari, Bapere, kantel, Malal and Isavali. We have tried for minimizing the leakage of girls from school. We have boosted 80 girls for taking education upto 10th standard. Our result is more than 80%. More than 160 students have passed in 10th Standard. On district level more and more students have shown their good performance. We have given encouragement for the hidden skills among the students. The education upto degree has been complied by 30% students. One student is taking education in Polytechnic. Some students has taken admission in college. 2. Programme for Women regarding Awareness of AIDS
355 women from Self Help groups have participated this programme. In this programme, the information and guidance about AIDS has been imparted. Open discussion among the participants has taken place. Awareness has been brought among women about aids.
3. Awareness Programme among the Teenagers
268 girls of adolescence from S.H.G. has participated this programme.In this programme, the importance about personal cleanliness, hygienic living, Anatomical changes in adolescence, changes in social view, psychological feelings among teenagers has been described in details. Similarly, the participants were made known about their rights. The misunderstandings about sexual life and changes in body after teenage were clarified and the participants were made known about the present status of society.
4. Youth Welfare Programme
The programmes of Youth Leadership Camp, Personality Development Programme, Agriculture and business guidance,different schemes of government, guidance about competitive examinations were conducted. In these programmes, 155 youth were participated. 139 youths were participated the programme of Social Service and Health Camp.
5. Formation of Self Help Group and their maintenance
Following Self Help groups were established in Lanja, Ratnagiri, Rajapur, Dapoli, Mandangad taluka : 211 Women SHG; 55 – Men SHG; 35 – Mixed SHG, 3 – SHG for Physically disabled persons; 7 – APL, aggregating to 305 SHGs. In these SHGs, 673 young males and 2491 females were organized.
6. Programme for Formation and capacity development of SHG
The capacity of 200 SHG were developed by imparting the training about fundamental concepts of SHG, Keeping of records, financial statements and auditing the financial records. Imparted the training of Participation, Control and Awareness about entrepreneurship programme.
7. Programme for Empowerment
Provided Working capital of Rs.40 lakhs to 230 SHGs. Business of 21 SHG started. Financial assistance to these 21 SHGs from Bank of India, Wainganga Krishna Gramin Bank upto Rs. 42 lakhs. Business as follows :- Cashewnut processing – 4; Vermipost – 4, Flour Mill and Rice Mill – 2, Grocery Shop – 5, Cashewnut sale-purchase-2, Vegetable including irrigation -1, Goat farming – 3
8. Basic Training and training for Skill Development
Provided Basic training to 435 Self employed professionals of 42 SHGs.and training for Skill Development 74 Self employed persons of 8 SHGs.
9. Adhar Gat (Helping SHGs) of deserving poor women
Distributed loans upto Rs. 5000/- to 10000/- to needy poor women for wedding of daughter and other domestic difficulties.
10. Literacy to 70-80 women of SHGs
Before participating the SHG, some women were illiterate.They were unable even to sign. However vigorous efforts of other members and continuous following, these women are now able to make signatures.
11. Participation in Politics
Mrs.Sarita Kulye of Pragati SHG of Padave Kulyewadi has been elected as Grampanchyat Member, whereas the members of other 3-4 SHGs are working on body of political party.
12. Awards to successful SHG
The women SHG of Kuve Warershiwadi, Tal.Lanja has won the Taluka Level Rajmata Jijau Self Dependence Award of 2007. They have acquired success in the business of Cashewnut processing.
13. Organization of disabled persons
Our Organization has taken initiative to form an organization of disabled persons. Today there are more than 200 members of this organization. They have acquired a platform to solve their problems with joint efforts. Thus they have gained the self confidence to tackle any difficulty.
14. Formation of S.H.G.of Disabled persons
3 SHGs of disabled persons. One of them has acquired working capital.They have got self identity due to better financial position.They have made themselves known of financial transactions.
15. Publicity and implementation of Domestic Violence Act 2005 :
Our Organization has undertaken the task of giving the knowledge of the fundamental rights of women to SHG members, who are victims of Domestic violence. Counselling to such victims is being made.
16. Co-operative farming
Co-operative farming by Laxmi Mahankali and Dattaguru Self Help Groups of Prabhanvalli-Nangarphale (Tal.Lanja) for continuous three years. In these 3 years, both these SHGs have earned income of Rs.12,000/-.
17. Cashewnut processing
The turnover of Cashewnut processing business of Dnyaneshwari SHG of Veravali Khurd Mandavkarwadi has reached to Rs.45000/-. Sale of Kuleeth Flour is made by Dnyaneshwari and Muchkundi SHG.
18. Plantation of Nachani
- Plantation of Nachani on Laterite land by Mangalmurti and Navneet SHGs of Nivsar- Sadshindewadi has yielded the income of Rs. 9000/-. Both these SHGs has made this plantation a big success.
- The Sadguru SHG of Manche has achieved the work of preparing Poshan Ahar (Preparation of nutritious food for school going children) of Anganwadi students. Cooperative Groundnut farming by Sadguru SHG. The Ahilyabai SHG of Salape has successfully made plantation of Sunflower and Groundnut, Cardamum and Mung, Chawali crops. Two SHGs of Shirvali started selling Kuleeth flour. They have earned Rs. 2000/- in 10 days. The SHG of Shirvali earned income of Rs. 5000/- by summer farming of various crops.
- The Ganesh SHG of Panhale has made cooperative farming and earned Rs.10000/- in two months. The Pragatipath SHG earned income of Rs. 9000/- from the business of preparing and selling Leave-dishes (Patravali). They have earned income of Rs. 8000/- by displaying food-stall in pilgrims. The turnover of Rs. 50,000/- has been made by Pragatipath SHG in the business of cashewnut processing .The Vijayalaxmi SHG of Devadhe has earned Rs. 9000/- by selling Bhel, Fried jackfruit pectins. The Mata Ramai SHG has earned their permanent bread and butter from the business of Flour Mill, Rice Mill and Pepper Mill.
- Swarajya SHG of Kuve Guravwadi has earned profit within 2 years from Flour Mill, Rice Mill business.The Saibaba SHG of Kuve-Wareshiwadi earned profit of Rs. 35,000/- from cashewnut processing business. The Pavanadevi SHG is running the grocery shop at Kuve-Guravwadi. The business of Goat Farming has been undertaken by Ambhira SHG of Veravali Budruk The ration shop is being run by Shivshankar SHG of Kolewadi. The Vermi post fertilizer business is being run by two SHGs. Among these, the Vitthal-Rakhumai SHG of Hasol has earned profit of Rs. 10,000/- Another business of Vermi post fertilizer is being run by Savitrimai SHG of Veravali Budruk. The Laxmi SHG of Veravali Budruk is running rationing shop.
- The business of goat farming has been adopted by Muchkundi SHG of Veravali Khurd with livestock of 45 goats. The Nakshatra SHG of Panhale has taken loan of Rs.1,00,000/- for goat farming business. The Disha SHG has made the turnover of Rs. 50,000/- in cashewnut proceessing business.
- Establishment of Centre for Solution of Family problems and constancy centre 13 cases has been registered in this centre. Out of them 7 cases has been successfully adjusted. 5 cases has been lodged in Court of Law under Domestic Violence Act-2005. Three cases of them are being solved and two are pending .
19. Awareness of Sensibility Programme :
In this programme, 180 women were participated.
20. Training for Panchayat Raj Programme :
120 Women from various SHG has been given this training.
21. Programme of Services to Malnutrition children :
The infant from Kot has been adopted for nursing from malnutrition and has ben povided with nutrious diet & necessary medicines.
22. Legal Guidance workshop :
211 participant women from various SHGs has taken advantage of this workshop.
